Succulent Rockery

Succulent Garden

The Succulent Rockery is planted up with a wide range of succulent plants, including aloes, euphorbias, cyphostemmas, stapeliads, as well as a large selection of succulent ground covers and other interesting plants from arid areas.

Aloe vryheidensis

This area of the Garden is particularly colourful in winter and early spring when the aloes are in full bloom and are visited by a wide range of nectar-loving birds, such as the Blackheaded Oriole, a variety of sunbirds, and many others. The Succulent Garden is currently in the process of being upgraded and replanted.
