An old hostel building, once used for workers, has been converted into the Fynbos Eco-Centre. It houses poster displays and is also used for various functions including the September flower show, slide shows, and nature-related society meetings.

The courtyard, which forms part of the complex, has been developed as a delightful Useful Plants Garden. Here you will find the well known Carpet Geranium, Geranium incanum, which is used for various female ailments. Labels describing the plants' uses make for interesting and sometimes entertaining reading. Look for plants with leaves that soothe tired, aching feet or find out which plants can relieve tummy aches and headaches!
