The ponds, situated peacefully in the centre of the Garden, are home to a host of frogs. The surrounding craggy mountains are reflected in their still surfaces.
Just south of the ponds is the nivenia area, where the hard to grow Nivenia stokoei flowers in wonderful blue profusion from February into March.
