What is Biodiversity Interpretation?
Here's one definition:
A communication process that builds emotional and intellectual
connections between people and natural environments.

By the end of this workshop, we could have a better one&

During this interactive workshop, we'll consider some ideas behind nature/biodiversity interpretation, explore principles and techniques of interpretation, and learn by applying these ideas to our own work.

Each one teach one
The workshop is built on the understanding that every participant brings their own unique and important ideas, contributions and knowledge; and that, sharing together, we can learn and grow in our ability to interpret biodiversity.

People seem to learn better when they are actively involved in their learning. Thus there will be plenty of interactive sessions, group activities and direct involvement - and very few lectures.

Monday the 8th & Tuesday the 9th November 2004. Participants may attend one or both days.

The cost of the workshop is intended to make it as accessible as possible. For this reason, participants are required to make all their own food, accommodation and transport arrangements. The workshop fee of R50 per person per day (R100 total for both days) covers teas and course fees only. Please pay at the workshop in cash only - no cheques or credit cards will be accepted.

Please bring your own packed lunch. Teas only will be provided.

The Garden does not have overnight accommodation. Please make your own accommodation arrangements.

Transport to the venue
Please make your own way to the venue. The workshop organizers will not make any transport arrangements.
