March and April are the autumn months in KwaZulu-Natal. The Midlands meadow and the Grassland beds are beautiful, with the grasses turning lovely shades of red, beige, yellow, sand and brown. The London plane trees shed their leaves, and many happy hours can be spent enjoying the falling leaves in their autumn colours. |

Autumn is also time to enjoy the hazy beauty of the beds of flowering plectranthus. |
| Plectranthus flowers range from blue, purple, pink to white. Flourishing in partial shade, these are marvelous plants for the home garden. |
