The Cascades Café
This café is situated in the very heart of the Garden in a large, airy thatched building that is open on three sides. On perfect, windless days you can sit outside under an enormous wild fig (Ficus ingens) that has low branches and a convoluted trunk --- a wonderful, natural jungle-gym for tiny tots. The café is open from 08h00 to 17h00 every day of the week and serves teas, divine coffee, sandwiches, snacks and delicious light meals. The staff caters for special events like children's birthday parties, business luncheons, wedding receptions and small meetings. It is the best venue imaginable for meeting friends for lunch.
